Q: When I link from another site I get a graphic saying "Unauthorized Referrer".

A: Linking is only allowed from a handful of authorized hosts. If the site you are linking from is not on the list, you will see the unauthorized referrer graphic. You can always directly view the image by pasting the URL to the browser address box. You can also freely attach images to emails.

Q: Why so cheap? Why not let everyone link from anywhere?

A: We are not "cheap" -- we tried letting everyone link from everywhere and it was abused on a major scale. We came to the decision that we would rather offer high quality service to a select group, rather than slow, crappy service to everyone.

Q: I want to browse the site. I want to let others see my home directory. How do I do that?

A: This site is for image hosting. It is not a picture gallery. The only place people will be able to see your pictures is on the sites you link them on.

Q: The site is broken! Help! Help!

A: Relax. If it's a major problem feel free to write me. During weekdays I usually check my mail often. If it's about a new feature you would like to see or anything general, feel free to post in the forums.

Q: Can you add my site to the authorized referrer list?

A: Sorry, our already hurting bandwidth will not allow this. Feel free to grab the code to the site and host your own version. Please write us if you do. We would love to see move sites using the pics? code.

Q: Why can't I post nudes/porn?

A: Because I like my computers under my desk, not in an FBI evidence locker. Plus this is a family site after all. Don't forget to read the terms of service.

Q: Is there a fee? Can I donate?

A: This is and has always been a free service. We do not accept donations. If you want to help out feel free to visit one of our sponsors from the ad space on the site.

Q: Who's idea was this? Who coded this site?

A: The idea came from the Anandtech forums. Mookow takes credit for the idea. Sully coded the original site and everything you see here today you can thank him for because it is all based on his great work. I was bored one day and coded version 2.0.

Q: Wait. Who does that make you?

A: Name's Chris.

Q: Can I have the code for the site?

A: Yes. Even better you can help improve the site via the open source process. The code for the site is available at sourceforge.net.

Q: I clicked on the "RSS 2.0" button and nothing happened. What is it?

A: That's a link the the RSS feed for the site. You can get an RSS aggregator like SharpReader or FeedDemon to see the last ten uploaded pictures without having to visit the site.

Q: What does bbzzdd stand for?

A: Nothing. The story: I have friend, Ernie, who used to walk around saying, "bay-bee," in a really annoying voice. To really annoy people turned it into "bee-bee." When that lost its annoying edge he went to, "bee-bee-zee-zee." You see where this is going, right? Anyway, I registered the domain, bbzzdd.com, as a laugh. Being I had it laying around I used it for the pics site. The rest is history, "bee-bee."
